Vote buying in elections: Residents of Asafo express their annoyance
Residents of Kumasi-Asafo have expressed their displeasure with politicians that accept donations in exchange for votes.
They said, “It’s normal to give money but the quantum of money given is the problem,” and claimed that providing cash as T&T to delegates is appropriate and should be encouraged.
Some remarked in an interview with Boss News that there is nothing that can be done about bribery because it is as ancient as Moses.

“It is an insult on the part of the citizenry to give money for vote, because this has resulted in incompetence management of the country’s resources,” they stated.
They said that the media should be held accountable for promoting unqualified candidates who win elections but do little to better their communities.
They made it very clear that these actions must end if we are to create the better Ghana that we are all striving for.
